Bison boys down Comets in overtime

HOT SPRINGS – Ever since a 19-point loss to Rapid City Christian in last year’s regular season boys basketball finale, one could say the Hot Springs Bison have had the Comet boys’ number. Hot Springs redeemed that aforementioned loss with a 10-point upset of Christian in the 2023 Region 8A semifinals to knock them out of the playoffs and later advance to the Class “A” State Tournament.

Bison get big wins over STM, Custer

HOT SPRINGS – After playing their last eight games on the road, with the last home game back on Jan. 12 during the West River Tournament, the Hot Springs Bison boys’ basketball was finally at home last week for a pair of games versus two Black Hills Conference and Region 8A rivals.

High School Rodeo season wraps up at 20X Showcase

Hot Springs has a rodeo team, with the current members being Terry Hammel, Owen White, Erin Osmotherly, Hanna Sletto, Reed White, and Kaemyn Klippenstein–all are from Hot Springs. However, the Hot Springs team doesn’t only have members from the town; Ella Hyer, Cy Hughson, Kaylee Juhnke, and Sophie Hruby, are from Nebraska.
