The Fall River County Herald-Star unites the 230-plus year combined histories of the Edgemont Herald-Tribune and the Hot Springs Star to be the one LOCAL NEWS paper for all of Fall River County.
The first official Fall River County Herald-Star was entered as Periodicals Class Matter on January 2, 2020, at the Hot Springs Post Office. The newspaper publishes every Thursday and combines the history of the Hot Springs Star (est. July 20, 1886) and the Edgemont Herald-Tribune (Tribune 1923-1959 / Herald Oct. 1, 1959 - Nov. 30, 2017). The publication was known as the Fall River County Herald from December 2017 to December 2019.
