Robert James McAllister, formerly of Hot Springs, departed this world on February 28, 2024 from Aphasia.

Robert was born on August 2, 1948, he attended the University of South Dakota at Springfield. After graduation he moved to Lakewood, Colorado and lived there most of his life. This is where he met his wife Debbie and married in 1974. Robert was a mechanical engineer, he spent the majority of his career working at Rocky Flats Nuclear Plant.

He spent much of his free time being active, Robert wasn’t one to sit idly by. His great passions in life were gardening, restoring his 1962 Biscayne Chevrolet, and talking with his friends. Robert was a master gardener. His gardens were in the envy of the neighborhood. When he wasn’t working outside, he was working on his beloved ‘62 Biscayne.

Robert loved his family well. He was always eager to be of help. He was always kind and someone that could be counted on.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Alma Rademacher McAllister and Robert Clayton McAllister; his sister, Connie McAllister Rincker. His successors include wife, Deborah Mullins McAllister; sister, Karren (George); daughters, Sarah L. McAllister and Jaclyn L. McAllister Zahn (Floyd); grandchildren, Savannah L. Martinez, Elizabeth M. Zahn, Andrew Zahn, and many nieces and nephews.
