Baseball team earns 7-5 win over Douglas at Butler Park

HOT SPRINGS – The Hot Springs Bison baseball team picked up its first win of the season last Friday, April 5, at home versus the Douglas Patriots when they earned a 6 1/2 inning victory by a score of 7-5, thanks to a big five-run third inning for the hometown boys.

STURGIS – The Hot Springs Bison track and field teams saw their first action of the season last week when they traveled to Sturgis for a 13-team Early Bird meet at Woodle Field. First-year head coach Mike Close said his team had some “first meet of the year jitters,” but that all of the assistant coaches did a great job of getting all of the kids prepared.

OELRICHS - The Fifth Annual Lakota All Star Games were held in Rapid City at the Monument on Saturday, March 30. Three boys basketball teams and two girls basketball teams competed in the high school games, followed by women’s and men’s college basketball games.

HOT SPRINGS – After just eight official practices, the Hot Springs Bison baseball team got its 2024 season underway last Friday, March 29, with a home doubleheader versus Belle Fourche, which included JV followed by varsity game in which the home team lost 4-22.
