BELLE FOURCHE – The Hot Springs Lady Bison golfers took part in a triangular in Belle Fourche on Thursday, April 11, where Custer took the team title with a four-person nine-hole score of 210 followed by the host Broncs in second place with a 257. Hot Springs did not have a full team and thus could not pull together a team score.

EDGEMONT – Edgemont had a busy week in the track world last week, having two track meets where lots of the student athletes were able to improve against some tough competitions as well as gain some times in events they haven’t run this year yet.

HOT SPRINGS – The Hot Springs Bison baseball team had a tough stretch of games last week as they lost three in a row to St. Thomas More (0-15), Platte-Geddes (0-11) and Bennett County (214).

RAPID CITY – With more than two dozen track and field teams from South Dakota, Wyoming and North Dakota, the Hot Springs Bison faced a lot of tough competition last Friday, April 12 at the Track-ORama in Rapid City.

SPEARFISH – Versus more than 30 teams from a threestate region, the Hot Springs Bison boys and girls track & field teams competed in the Queen City Classic last Friday, April 4, on the campus of Black Hills State University.

HOT SPRINGS – The Hot Springs Bison baseball team picked up its first win of the season last Friday, April 5, at home versus the Douglas Patriots when they earned a 6 1/2 inning victory by a score of 7-5, thanks to a big five-run third inning for the hometown boys.

STURGIS – The Hot Springs Bison track and field teams saw their first action of the season last week when they traveled to Sturgis for a 13-team Early Bird meet at Woodle Field. First-year head coach Mike Close said his team had some “first meet of the year jitters,” but that all of the assistant coaches did a great job of getting all of the kids prepared.

OELRICHS - The Fifth Annual Lakota All Star Games were held in Rapid City at the Monument on Saturday, March 30. Three boys basketball teams and two girls basketball teams competed in the high school games, followed by women’s and men’s college basketball games.

HOT SPRINGS – After just eight official practices, the Hot Springs Bison baseball team got its 2024 season underway last Friday, March 29, with a home doubleheader versus Belle Fourche, which included JV followed by varsity game in which the home team lost 4-22.

KADOKA – Last Tuesday night’s Class “A” SoDak 16 matchup in Kadoka featuring sixth-ranked Hot Springs and 11th-ranked Vermillion started pretty much how the Bison had hoped, as they took an early 10-1 lead midway through the first quarter.
