Lady Moguls Upend Hay Springs for First Win of the Season

On Friday for Homecoming, the Lady Moguls took on the Hay Springs Hawks in the Mogul Dome.
The Junior Varsity team had a slow start and split their match with the Hawks, 18-25 and 25-16. The JV record is 3-0-1.
The Varsity team took the court to face the Hawks. The first set saw the score take a big lead in the Moguls’ favor due to great serves. The Lady Moguls were able to keep the momentum at the start of the second set. They came up against a server that closed the Mogul lead in the middle of the second set, but the Lady Moguls again came out on top.
At the start of the third set, the Lady Moguls had some serving errors that kept the game close. The entire set was close, but the Lady Moguls were persistent and came out victorious. The Lady Moguls defeated the Hawks in 3 sets, 25-12, 25-22, and 29-27. The Varsity record is 1-7.
On Tuesday, September 16, the Lady Moguls hosted the Lead Gold Diggers at 5 p.m. On Thursday the 18th, the Lady Moguls travel to Hemingford to take on the Bobcats at 6 p.m. To round out the week, the Lady Moguls host the Custer Wildcats on Saturday, September 20, at 6 p.m. The Lady Moguls will also host the Crawford Rams on Monday, September 22 at 6 p.m.
