Four Bison football players named 11B All-State

HOT SPRINGS – Following one of the most successful seasons in recent history where they finished with an 8-3 record and qualified for the Class 11B semi-finals, the Hot Springs Bison football team held their end-of-year awards banquet last week on Nov. 17.
Among the awards presented was the announcement that four Bison were named to the Class 11B All-State team, including senior quarterback Preston Iverson (Athlete), senior Landon Iverson (Running Back), junior Caleb Rickenbach (Defensive Line) and junior Camron Maciejewski (Linebacker).
Seniors earning Academic All State honors (minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA), included Will Gilbertson, Tyler Remington, Preston Iverson and Dylan Webb.
As a team, the Bison were the Black Hills Conference Crazy Horse Division champions and had seven players named to the All-Conference team including Preston Iverson, Landon Iverson, Will Gilbertson, Camron Maciejewski, Caleb Rickenbach, Dylan Webb and Matt Close. Honorable Mention winners were Colin Iverson and Josh Kleinsasser.
Team awards, which were voted on by the players, included the following:
Most Valuable Offense: Preston Iverson
Most Valuable Defense: Camron Maciejewski
Most Valuable Offensive Line: Caleb Rickenbach
Most Valuable Defensive Line: Dylan Webb
Most Valuable Special Teams: Will Gilbertson
Most Valuable Scout Team/JV: Colin Iverson
Most Improved: Modes Kerr
Bison Award/Team MVP: Preston Iverson
Friend of Football Award: Jeff and Jen Heil (Heil Mechanical)
Letter winners included the following:

Freshmen – Logan Williams.
Sophomores – Aidyn Janis.
