Linda Rae Bogart (Haggerty), 70

Linda Rae Bogart (Haggerty), 70, passed away March 18, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Linda was the second daughter born to Henry and Margaret Haggerty on April 15, 1947 in Great Falls, Montana.

Linda attended Newman Elementary School, Garfield and Billings West High where upon she graduated in 1965.  After graduation, Linda moved Seattle, Washington where she would begin to build a career. Shortly after arriving in Seattle, Linda married Roy Bogart.  After several years in Seattle, her and Roy moved to Reno, Nevada.  Shortly thereafter, they divorced and Linda moved back to Seattle.  Linda was hired as a freight clerk at Lynden Transport in 1967.  Linda would work in this capacity for the next nineteen years.  After returning from Reno, she was hired by Alaska Marine Lines in October 1989.  Linda ended her career as the Human Resource Manager.  She is best described by her former supervisor, “she had just right amount of spunk combined with toughness that allowed her to excel in that role!”  During her 31 years of service to Lynden Companies, Linda developed many long-lasting relationships with her colleagues.  In November 2002, Linda retired moved back to Montana and set sail on becoming a permanent RV traveler.  She spent winters in Arizona and the summers in Montana becoming a summer time camp host in the West Yellowstone area.  In 2011, she met a special friend, Charles Sigafoos of Hot Springs, South Dakota.  Together, they would travel south for the winters and back to West Yellowstone as camp hosts.  Health would eventually force their retirement to South Dakota however they never gave up looking for that one last RV trip south!  Many special friends and acquaintances were made during their journeys.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Henry; mother Margaret; oldest sister Rose Ann Prkut; youngest sister Gayle Champion.  She is survived by her brother William (Pam) Haggerty, niece Erin (Justin) Barber, grandnephews Jacoby and Morgan, niece Megan (Mark) Lachmund, grandnephews Layton and Leif, niece McKenzie (Robby) Hill, grandniece Evelyn, and nephew Nicky Prkut, grandnephew Austin and grandniece Taylor.   She was a special “Aunt Linda!”
