Cindy (Hartman) Glasshoff

October 25, 1952 - December 30, 2023

Cindy (Hartman) Glasshoff was born in Hot Springs, S.D., October 25, 1952 to parents Patrick and Laurine (Wasserburger) Hartman. She passed away on December 30, 2023 in Elkhorn, Neb.

Cindy grew up in Ardmore, S.D. and attended grade school and middle school in Igloo, S.D. After she graduated from Edgemont High School in 1971, she moved to Omaha and worked at Western Electric where she met the love of her life, Larry Glasshoff. The two were married for 48 wonderful years. Together they welcomed three daughters, Chantel and twin daughters, Amber and Ashley. As the girls grew, Cindy decided to go back to work and spent over 33 years at American Interstate Bank. She started as an administrative assistant and later assumed the role of new account rep. Cindy enjoyed working with the public and especially loved the special relationships she formed with her customers.

Cindy enjoyed golf with her friends, tending to her many flower gardens, reading, and traveling internationally with Larry. Her favorite destinations were Africa, Israel, and New Zealand. Cindy and Larry’s favorite place to be was their farm in Uehling, Neb. where Cindy always said the words to Larry “I was just thinking….”. That meant she had a new “special project” for Larry to take on. Cindy’s favorite joy in life was spending time with Larry, her kids and grandkids, laughing with friends and always holding strong to her Catholic faith with an absolute devotion to God.

Visitation will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elkhorn on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 5:30 p.m., followed by a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. with graveside service at Mt. Calvery Cemetery in Elkhorn.
