Marguerite Kearns passed away on September 5, 2023 at Seven Sisters Living Center in Hot Springs, S.D., with her family at her side. After her marriage Marguerite lived and raised her family in Rushville, Neb. She came to Hot Springs to work as a Registered Nurse at the VA Medical Center. She fell in love with the area and after retiring chose to live out her years in Hot Springs.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kearns, Jr, and sons, Michael and Patrick Kearns. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Donald) Maberry, Rushville, Neb., Karen Rhoads, Lincoln, Neb., Peter Kearns, Hot Springs, and Sharon Kearns, Hot Springs, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She has many beloved nieces and nephews spread across the country.

A graveside service for the family is pending at a future date. No flowers or cards per her request.
