August 29, 1955 - July 14, 2023 

Kathleen Marie Meyer, 67, was born on August 29, 1955 in Igloo, S.D. to the late Gertrude (Bobbie) & Ephraim Brafford. Kathy made her journey to the Spirit World on July 14, 2023 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, S.D.

Kathy married Mitch Meyer and they lived in Edgemont, S.D. She loved her family and cherished spending time with all of them and was filled with joy when she became a grandma. She loved to laugh and share stories with everyone.  

Kathy is survived by her sons, Bob Ray Brafford & Whitney Oster of Gillette, Wyo., Tim Valenti & his wife, Lori; granddaughter, Bri; step-granddaughters, Miranda & Hailey of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Kenneth Meyer & Ashley McCabe of Deadwood, S.D.; brothers, Dennis Brafford & Hazel of Edgemont, S.D., Neil Brafford & his wife, Jenny of Chadron, Neb.; sister, Susie Brafford of Rapid City; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Bobbie & Ephraim; brothers, Guy Braffod and Bart Brafford; sister, Lorna Jones; and her husband, Mitch Meyer.

Kathy will be dearly missed by all and forever have a place in our hearts.

Pallbearers were Ephriam Brafford, Chris Brafford, David Hyatt, Baptiste Brafford, Jeremy Hart, and Elliot Salway.  

Honorary pallbearers were Erica Hyatt, Georgia Rae Trundle, and All Friends & Relatives.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont, S.D.  with Father Mark Horn officiating.

Interment followed at the Edgemont Cemetery in Edgemont.
