April 3, 1936 - July 16, 2023 

Robert Polcyn, MD, 87, of Hot Springs, S.D., died peacefully on July 16, 2023 at his home surrounded by family. He was born April 3, 1936 in Chicago the son of Eugene and Julia (Czarnowski) Polcyn.

Bob’s career was as a Radiologist and teacher. In retirement, he filled his days with his many interests: studying astronomy, history, geology; creating art, jewelry, photography; enjoying cooking, writing and traveling.

Robert is survived by his wife, Linda Grim; three children, Jim (Sandy) Polcyn of Sun Prairie, Wis.,, Julie Polcyn of Mauston, Wis., and Sharon McCune of Pittsburgh, Pa.; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and sister, Ruth Raymann of Chicago, Ill.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; son, Tom; and brother-in-law, B.J. Raymann.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley Funeral Homes in Hot Springs, S.D.
