Betty Jo (Lemmon) Eldridge of Fort Benton, MT went home to be with Jesus on August 19, 2014. Betty Jo was born May 7, 1932 to John and Emma Lemmon in Craig, CO.
On May 19, 1950 Betty Jo married Marvin Eldridge and together they raised four children; Marvia (Rick) Johnson, Keith (Loretta) Eldridge, Ronda (Bud) Childers, Jean (Martin) Shea.
During their 64 years of marriage, Marvin and Betty Jo ministered in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. The couple pastored the United Church in Edgemont from Dec 1997 through June 2000.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Shirley Campbell and Mary Lou Resecker and brother, Willis Lemmon. She is survived by her husband, Marvin, four children, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Betty Jo was the personification of love. Her sweet personality, sense of humor and genuine love of others will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life service will be September 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fort Benton Community Bible Fellowship Hall with a luncheon to follow the service.
