Daniel Bruce

November 5, 1982 - July 30, 2022

Daniel Bruce, 39, passed away on July 30, 2022. Daniel was born on November 5, 1982 to David Bruce and Dee Ann Hacker in Hot Springs S.D.

Daniel’s biggest strengths included putting his family first, having a huge heart and not being afraid to work hard when it came to providing for his family. Daniel would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. He was generous to a fault. He loved his children with all his heart and this love was extended to his nieces and nephews.

Daniel had an amazing sense of humor and an infectious laugh and could make every person smile and laugh in the room. Daniel was able to strike up a conversation with anyone in a room. His hobbies included mastering the art of grilling a good piece of meat and gardening. He even took to raising ducks and chickens in the recent years and when the dog next door got out and killed his chicken named “Nugget” he was heartbroken. Daniel was very courageous and wasn’t scared to take jobs he didn’t have training or experience in – he just knew he could do it. Even though Daniel had some tribulations in life he never let them or their consequences keep him from chasing his dreams. He will be truly missed by the many people who loved and were closest to him.

He is survived in this world by his children, Garrett Bruce of Cheyenne Wyo., and Danilyn Bruce of Gillette Wyo.; mother, Dee Ann Hacker (Marv) of Hot Springs; father, David Bruce (Teri) of Deadwood; grandparents, Gerald and Delores Bruce of Rapid City; sisters, Elizabeth Thomas of Albuquerque N.M., Rebecca Pirnie (Tony) of Gillette Wyo., Victoria DeSersa (Steve) of Sturgis, Erin Wilson (Nick) of Valparasio Neb., Mackenzie Livingston (David) of Wahoo Neb., and Kelley Higgins of Gillette Wyo.; brothers, Trevor Kennon (Morgan) of Lincoln Neb. and Julian Love (Anna) of Fremont Neb. Daniel is also survived by his life partner, Amy Hadle of Gillette Wyo., and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by twin sons, Daniel and David Bruce; brother, Matthew Bruce; uncles, Leonard Hacker and Charles Hacker; grandmother, Juliana Hacker; cousin, Jennifer Amos, and grandfather, William Hacker.
