Mrs. Millie Merwin Jahrig, 76, of West Underwood Street in Brewton, Ala., passed away Thursday July 7, 2022 in a local nursing facility in Brewton.

Msr. Jahrig was a native of Hot Springs, S.D. and a former resident of Arkansas before moving to Brewton 30 plus years ago. She was a lifelong certified nursing assistant, engaged to Cecil Crutchfield, enjoyed painting, fishing, reading and playing games on her kindle. Mrs. Jahrig loved the Senior Center where she went for lunch every day and that’s where she met Cecil Crutchfield. She attended the Dogwood Hills Church in Brewton.

Survivors include: Fiancé, Cecil Crutchfield of Brewton; sons, Kevin Jahrig of Wyoming, and Kody Jahrig of South Dakota; daughter, Kerri Hulett of Maryland; brother, Wayne Nyberg of California; sister, Janice Wilson of California; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Iola Merwin; and a sister, Betty Edleman

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Fountain of Life Assemby of God Church in Hot Springs. Refreshments will be served after the service at Chautauqua Park.
