December 5, 2020
Janice Green, formerly of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 71 on December 5, 2020.
Janice loved books and was a gifted storyteller. She also enjoyed crocheting beautiful afghans for her family and playing bingo. She was a selfless, loving woman – and a very competitive card player. She enjoyed spending time with her family camping, riding motorcycles, watching scary movies, playing games, and (usually) whatever Dave came up with next.
Janice is survived by her husband, David Green of Onaway, Mich., (formerly Hot Springs), and children: Elizabeth (Patrick) Mackenroth of Millersburg; Sarah (Jay) Pauley of Reed City; Kimberley Green of Vanderbilt; Cheryl (Mike) Filarski of Irrigon, Ore; David J. (Sarah) Green of Glenwood, Minn; Pat (Shannon) Green of Alpena; Michele (Allen) House of Perkinston, Miss.; and Margaret (Jeff) Lawler of Mooresville, N.C.; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Tolin of Alpena and brother, Scott Reed of Owosso; and countless others whose lives she has touched.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Wingo; mother, Ila Reed; and brothers, William Wingo and Hugh Wingo Jr.
