Lionel McMillin

Lionel Edward McMillin, age 91, passed away December 7, 2015, at his home in Edgemont, SD.
Lionel was born June 25, 1924, in Anoka, NE, to Willard and Grace (Johnsen) McMillin. Lionel was raised in Martin, SD, where he attended school through 8th grade. In 1942, at age 17, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. Scott, until his honorable discharge in 1945. After being discharge, Lionel came back home to Martin, where he met and married Margaret Millar, then settled in Hot Springs, SD. In 1969, they moved to Denver, CO to raise their family. In 2004 they moved to Edgemont, to live out his days with the love of his life.
Lionel is survived by three daughters, Kathryn (Eugene) Molina of Edgemont; Paula (Robert) Carlson of Thompson, ND; Debra (Robert) Kohl of Imperial, NE; son, Jason (Lorna) McMillin of Commerce City, CO; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Lionel was preceded in death by his wife Margaret; three daughters, Maryann; Connie Jo; carol Joann; parents; and two brothers.
Memorial services were held December 11, 2015, at Chamberlain-McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Committal services were held December 11, 2015, at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
A memorial has been established in Lionel’s name and maybe sent to the family.

Mary Ann Dickerson

Mary Ann Dickerson, age 77, formerly of Edgemont, SD, passed away December 6, 2015, at McKee Medical Center (Hospice) in Loveland, CO.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2015, at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont, SD with Fr. Kerry Prendiville officiating. Committal services will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery near Edgemont, SD.
Mary is survived by her husband Allen C. Dickerson of Greeley, CO; sons, Allen (Anne) Dickerson of Windsor, CO; Robert (Diane) Dickerson of Loveland, CO; daughters, Sheryl Dykeman of Greeley, CO; Alice Cheney of Ault, CO; Mary (Mark) Melzo of Pierce, CO; fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Charles March

Charles Clifford ‘Chuck’ March, age 65, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away December 9, 2015, at the VA Medical Center in Hot Springs.
Chuck was born December 18, 1949, in Clarinda, IA, to William and Thelma (Kernen) March. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1970 until his honorable discharge in 1974.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Jason March of Belle Fourche, SD; Tania (Matthew) Sayler of Fargo, ND; Sarah (Shane) Stroub of Murphysboro, IL; Kerry (Ken) Dickson of Cavour, SD; Karla (Ryan) Parisien of Bullhead, SD; Wade Benson of Sasebo-Shi, Japan; Wes (Erin) Benson of Belgrade, MT; mother, Thelma March of Hot Springs and ten grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Hot Springs with Pastor Dwayne Hunzeker officiating. Interment will follow at the Smithwick Cemetery near Smithwick, SD.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Chuck’s name to benefit his grandchildren’s education fund.
