The State Board of Water and Natural Resources has approved a $450,000 funding package to Custer-Fall River Regional Waste Management District to construct two new solid waste disposal cells at the regional landfill near Edgemont.
The package includes a $151,100 grant and a $298,900 loan from the Solid Waste Management Program. Loan terms are 2.25 percent for seven years.

Seventh Circuit Judge Mandel has signed an order prohibiting the county from tabulating votes on the Soil Farm Referendum.

Last weekend was Edgemont’s annual Fall Festival.
After walking around and  taking pictures (thanks for the help, Kristy!), I was overwhelmed  - not only was this a first for me, but it was neat to see everyone work so hard to put on a nice thing for not only the community, but others across the state could have fun, too.
Dick Patrick and his wife, Betty, worked very hard to organize the event, with help from others.
