Last weekend was Edgemont’s annual Fall Festival.
After walking around and  taking pictures (thanks for the help, Kristy!), I was overwhelmed  - not only was this a first for me, but it was neat to see everyone work so hard to put on a nice thing for not only the community, but others across the state could have fun, too.
Dick Patrick and his wife, Betty, worked very hard to organize the event, with help from others.
106 cars were registered, with another ten to fifteen cars that were not registered, but displayed right along the others, according to Mr. Patrick.
10 trophies were presented for category winners along with $1000 in cash prizes.  There were other cash prizes as well door prizes.
Patrick reported that this was the best turnout yet and the good weather helped to make it a success.
Plans for next year are already underway, with the possibility of a swap meet in the new future.
Many folks toured through the museum and local vendor booths, as well as looked at the wonderful quilts that were on display.  The quilts were absolutely wonderful!

1st Place Winner~Janice Moore (Quilts), 1st Place Winner ~ Lynda Andersen (UFO), 1st Place Winner ~ Natalie Stalcup (Misc).
Winners of the ATV ride were as follows: First: Kim Whitney, Second: Rob Granthan, Third: Tammy Biller
The 50’s music that went with the car show really added to the ambience.
Patrick also stated that it was a nice addition to have the Quick Draw Contest.  Thanks Brent and crew for organizing that!  He says that it really is nice to have people circulating through town more and many seemed to enjoy it.
Patrick also would like to thank all that helped from sponsors to his kids that drive up from Colorado to help put things on.  Next year’s date is already set for September 26.
