Fiscal Affairs of 

Edgemont School District No. 23-1

Notice is hereby given that the records and books of account of the Edgemont School District No. 23-1 of Fall River County, South Dakota have been audited by Independent Audit Services, PC for the one year ending June 30, 2017. A detailed report thereon is available for public inspection, during normal business hours, at the business office of the School District and also available at the Department of Legislative Audit, 427 South Chapelle, Pierre, South Dakota or on the Department of Legislative Audit’s web site at: http://www.state.sd.us/legislativeaudit/Reports/reports_all.htm

The following findings and recommendations provide a brief description of material weaknesses in internal control, legal compliance and other matters that are described in more detail in the audit report.

Status of Prior Auditor Comments:

The prior year audit comment regarding bidding has been resolved.

Current Auditor Comment:

There are no written current year audit comments. However, the report does contain minor auditor’s findings and recommendations concerning deficiencies in compliance and internal control at the School District.
