Engineering Proposals

 City of Hot Springs Municipal Airport

The City of Hot Springs, South Dakota, will accept proposals from qualified engineering firms for engineering service for the proposed development at the Hot Springs Municipal Airport. Proposals will be accepted until 12:00 noon, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 and are to be submitted to: Kim Barbieri, City Administrator, 303 N. River Street, Hot Springs, SD 57747. Please submit 6 copies of your proposal of no more than 10 pages front and back for the selection committee.

Engineering Services may include proposed airport improvements for the period of 2018-2022.

Scope of work could include:

1. Hangar development

2. Support services development

3. Taxiway design and construction

4. Airfield lighting, weather, and security updates

5. Land acquisition

6. Environmental studies

Proposals shall set forth qualification, as noted in the “Consultant Criteria for Airport Projects” to accomplish engineering services for the period of 2018-2022 at the Hot Springs Municipal Airport.  Copies of the “Consultant Selection Criteria” for this airport contract can be obtained by contacting Kim Barbieri, City Administrator, 303 N. River Street, Hot Springs, SD 57747, or by calling 605-745-3135 or see the selection criteria found in FAA Advisory Circular AC No: 150/5100-14E section 2.7.

The City, after scoring the proposals, may at its discretion, request interviews with 2 or 3 firms.

The selected firm is encouraged to obtain DBE engineering services or provide “Good Faith Effort” for this project
