Regular Meeting
April 4, 2023
CALL TO ORDER – ROLL CALL: Mayor, Carla Schepler, called the regular meeting of the Edgemont Common Council to order at 7:00 p.m. on April 4, 2023, at Edgemont City Hall. Present were Council members, David Levey, Jarrell Rola, Carl Shaw, Dennis Tubb and Brent White.
Pledge of Allegiance was stated.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS: Jarrell Rola state a conflict with item #4d, Appointment of Finance Officer
APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Dennis Tubb made a motion to approve the April 18, 2023 agenda with the stipulation of adding item #14 Executive Session. Motion seconded by Brent White. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Carl Shaw made a motion to approve the April 18, 2023 minutes. Motion was seconded by Brent White. Motion carried with unanimous vote.

Mayor’s Report – No comments were heard.
PUBLIC COMMENT: David Brown requested that the annual financial reports from 2019 through 2021 be submitted. Frank Gregg from the American Radio Club stated that they will be in Edgemont on June 24th-25th.
COUNCIL COMMENT: No comments were heard.
APPROVAL OF CLAIMS: Carl Shaw made a motion to approve the May 2nd, 2023 claims totaling $44,987.41. Motion seconded by Carl Shaw. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.

Malt Beverage License – Hat Creek and Igloo Bar: Malt Beverage License for Hat Creek was approved unanimously. Mal Beverage License for Igloo Bar was tabled pending more information.

Reorganization: Oaths of office for Mayor Rheta Reagan, Alderman David Levey, and Alderman Jason Shook
CALL TO ORDER – ROLL CALL: Mayor, Rheta Reagan, called the regular meeting of the Edgemont Common Council to order at 7:28 p.m. on May 2, 2023, at Edgemont City Hall. Present were Council members, David Levey, Jarrell Rola, Jason Shook, Dennis Tubb and Brent White.
Pledge of Allegiance was stated.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS: None stated
NEW BUSINESS:
Election on Council President/Vice President: Brent White was elected Council President. Dennis Tubb was elected Council Vice President
Appointment of City Attorney: Motion by Jason Shook, second by Dennis Tubb to Appoint Lance Russell as City Attorney. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Appointment of City Finance Officer: Motion by Jason Shook, second by Dennis Tubb to appoint Nick Robinson as City Finance Officer. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Appointment of Boards and Committees: Motion by Jason Shook, second by Brent White to accept Mayor’s appointments of Boards and Committees
Resolution 2023-05-21-2 – Attorney: Motion by David Levey, second by Jason Shook. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Demolition Permit – Casey Klein: Motion by Dennis Tubb, second by Brent White to approve the demolition permit for Casey Klein with provisions that contractor gives insurance information.
Replacement of decking for caboose: Motion by Dennis Tubb, second by Jarrell Rola to replace decking for the caboose. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Poppy Proclamation: Mayor Rheta Reagan signed the Poppy Proclamation.
Library Annual Report: Library annual report is complete and has been submitted to the state.
Annual Report: Motion by Dennis Tubb, second by David Levey to table the Annual Report. Motion carried with a unanimous vote.
Executive Session: Motion by Brent White, second by Dennis Tubb to enter into executive session. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
Out of executive session at 8:31. No action taken
ADJOURNMENT: Dennis Tubb made a motion to adjourn at 8:31 p.m. Motion was seconded by Brent White. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
The next regular City Council meeting will be held May 16, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.
