Special Board Meeting
January 10, 2023
Call to Order: The Board of Education of the Oelrichs School District 23-3 met in special session on January 10, 2023, in the school library. The meeting was called to order by Dave Osmotherly, Board President, at 4:08 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll Call: Members Present: John Cope, Dave Osmotherly, Marty Schommer, and Lance Tlustos.
Administration Present: Dr. Mitchell Stone, Principal Peterson, Attorney Hickey (via zoom)
MOTION by Tlustos, second Schommer, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Public Grievance Hearing: MOTION by Cope, second Tlustos to appoint Attorney Hickey as Hearing Officer. Motion carried.
Executive Session: MOTION by Tlustos second Cope to go into executive session at 4:10 p.m. for SDCL 1-25-2.1 employee matter.  Returned to regular session at 4:54 p.m.  
MOTION by Cope, second Tlustos to uphold the decision of the superintendent with the condition of the board authorizing Attorney Hickey to prepare letters consistent to board decision. Motion carried.
Adjournment: MOTION by Schommer, second Cope to adjourn the meeting at 5:10 p.m. Motion carried.
