Notice for Bids

Fall River County Highway Department
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at the office of the Fall River County Highway Department Office, 27518 Cascade Rd, P.O. Box 939, Hot Springs, South Dakota 57747 and the Auditor’s Office, 906 N. River Street, Hot Springs, South Dakota, 57747 until 9:30 a.m. February 16, 2023, for furnishing Fall River County Highway Department for a period of 2 years for the following materials:
1. Price Per Ton For 1” Gravel Aggregate Base Course
2. Price Per Ton For Limestone Ledge Rock Base Course
The purpose of this bid is to establish a contract to furnish the articles or commodities specified, as required by the Fall River County Highway Department. All bid prices will be legally binding from February 16, 2023, through December 31, 2024. Fall River County does not guarantee the purchase of any minimum or maximum quantity during the term of the contract.
Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Fall River County Highway Department.
A bid bond will not be required.
The General Specification/Contract should also be signed and returned to accompany the bid. (These can be obtained at the Fall River County Highway Dept. or mailed to Bidders upon request at 605-745-5137). The Successful Bidder will then be mailed a copy of this Contract once signed by the Fall River County Commission and Fall River County Auditor.
All materials shall meet the South Dakota Department of Transportation’s Standard Specifications for Road and Bridges 2015 Edition. The Board of County Commissioners of Fall River County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities and to accept the bid which they deem to be in the best interest of Fall River County.
