City of Edgemont Common Council
June 1, 2021
Call To Order – Roll Call: Council President, Carla Schepler, called the regular meeting of the Edgemont Common Council to order at 7:00 p.m. on June 1, 2021, at Edgemont City Hall. Present were Council members, Bill Bethel, Roger Horton, Cindy Millburn, Lorie Wieser and Robert Worden. Jason Shook was absent.
Pledge of Allegiance was stated.
Conflict Of Interest For Council Members: No conflicts were heard.
Approval Of Agenda: Roger Horton made a motion to approve the June 1, 2021 agenda. Motion seconded by Robert Worden. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Approval Of Minutes: Lorie Wieser made a motion to approve the May 18, 2021 minutes. Motion was seconded by Cindy Millburn. Motion passed with unanimous vote.

Public Comment: George Eberle wants to have his topic of public comment added to the agenda.
Larry Mason wanted to inform the Council that they will be holding Cruise Nights throughout the summer.
Approval Of Claims: Roger Horton made a motion to approve the June 1, 2021 claims totaling $38,414.11. Motion seconded by Lorie Wieser. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.

Tax Deed Properties: Lorie Wieser made a motion to sell the properties with sealed bids by advertising for 4 weeks in the Fall River County Herald, placing on the City website and Facebook. Bids will be given to the Finance Officer no later than July 19, 2021. Also, the surplus properties inside the tax deed properties are to be sold by Terry Stienmetz on eBay or Facebook with the proceeds given to the Finance Officer for deposit. Motion was seconded by Cindy Millburn. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.
John Mcbride – Plat Revision Approval: Roger Horton made a motion to approve the plat revision. Motion seconded by Bill Bethel. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.
George Eberle – Possible Vacate Of City Property: Lorie Wieser made a motion to table this item to allow them to contact the City Attorney. Motion seconded by Robert Worden. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.
Cad Waite – Fourth Of July: Bill Bethel made a motion to approve the closing of E Street between 1st and 2nd Ave on July 3,2021 from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am with supplies security. Motion seconded by Robert Worden. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.
Thomas Mcmillan – Home Inspector: Lorie Wieser made a motion to approve hourly wage ($65) and mileage ($.495) for David St Pierre as a home inspector/examiner for the 601 4th Ave property. Motion seconded by Cindy Millburn. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.
Bill Bethel – Working Sessions: After discussion it was decided to add all committees on the agenda for reports to keep everyone updated.
Executive Session Per Sdcl 1-25-2 (2,3 & 4) Personnel, Litigation & Contracts: Lorie Wieser made a motion to enter into Executive Session at 8:23 p.m. Motion was seconded by Roger Horton. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
Returned to regular meeting @ 8:59pm.
No action was taken.
Adjournment: Cindy Millburn made a motion to adjourn at 9:00 p.m. Motion was seconded by Bill Bethel. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
Public Hearing for Medical Marijuana will be held at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall on June 15, 2021.
The next regular City Council meeting will be held June 15, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
