City of Edgemont Common Council
January 5, 2021
Call To Order – Roll Call: Mayor, Carla Schepler, called the regular meeting of the Edgemont Common Council to order at 7:00 P.M. on January 5, 2021, at Edgemont City Hall. Present were Council members, Roger Horton, Jason Shook and Robert Worden.
Pledge of Allegiance was stated.
Conflict Of Interest For Council Members: No conflicts were heard.
Approval Of Agenda: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the January 5, 2021 agenda. Motion seconded by Roger Horton. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Approval Of Minutes: Roger Horton made a motion to approve the December 29, 2020 minutes. Motion was seconded by Jason Shook. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Law Enforcement – Deputy McMillan
Public Works – Joe Koller
Animal Control – Katy Schepler
Public Comment: George Eberle stated concerns about nuisance properties.
Approval Of Claims: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the January 5, 2021 claims totaling $54,302.33. Motion seconded by Roger Horton. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.
Dec 30, 2020 – Jan 5, 2021 Salaries: Administration 1755.68, Streets 2249.56, Cemetery 7.53, Park 121.48, Library 1052.16, Water 746.17, Sewer 1070.27, Garbage 429.29. Total Salaries: $7,432.14.
Dec 30, 2020 – Jan 5, 2021 Expenditures: Aflac 538.42 medical allowance, ePath 524.52 sales tax, USPS 153.30 postage, BH Energy 4654.86 electric, Evans Ortho 26.50 medical allowance, FR County 9583.33 law enforcement, Golden West 692.20, Katy Schepler 450.00 ACO, Sander Sanitation 4920.48 garbage, Steven’s Auto 18.00 repairs, WRT 3868.33 prof fees, Water Systems Drilling 17183.25 prof fees, IUOE Local 49 4257.00 insurance. Liquor Law Discussion: Discussion was held concerning the sale of liquor on Christmas Day.
2021 Wages: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the 2021 Wages as follows. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
2021 Salaries/Wages: Council $30.00 per meeting, Mayor $400.00 per month, Karen Cain $44,249.75 annually + insurance, Dane Hirschfeld $13.38 per hour* + insurance, Kyle Kaiser $15.33 per hour* + insurance & utilities, Joe Koller $18.35 per hour* + insurance & utilities, Trent McCartney $13.11 per hour* + insurance & utilities, Randall Millburn $14.49 per hour* + insurance & utilities, Rheta Reagan $11.81 per hour + ¾ of utilities, Agnes Reecy $13.31 per hour + ¾ of utilities, Stacie Harter $13.79 per hour + ¾ utilities, Amy Stokes $10.00 per hour (Temp-part time).
*In addition, each full-time permanent union employee will receive $115.39 per pay period in lieu of a raise with an additional $235.00 per month for pharmaceutical allowance dependent upon insurance costs. This amount is not based on hours worked and is deducted from the medical benefits.
2021 Edgemont Volunteer Fire Dept Roster: Roger Horton made a motion to approve the following list of volunteers for the Edgemont Volunteer Fire Dept. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion passed with unanimous vote.

2021 Edgemont Public Library Volunteers: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the following list of volunteers for the Edgemont Public Library. Motion was seconded by Roger Horton. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
