City of Edgemont Common Council
October 20, 2020
Call to Order – Roll Call: Mayor, Carla Schepler, called the regular meeting of the Edgemont Common Council to order at 7:00 p.m. on October 20, 2020, at Edgemont City Hall. Present were Council members, Lyle Edmonds, Roger Horton and Jason Shook and Robert Worden.
Pledge of Allegiance was stated.
Conflict of Interest for Council Members: No conflicts were heard.
Approval of Agenda: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the October 20, 2020 agenda. Motion seconded by Lyle Edmonds. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Approval of Minutes: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the October 6, 2020 minutes. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion passed with unanimous vote.

Animal Control – Katy Schepler
Library – Stacie Harter and Lyle Edmonds
Public Comment: Bob Worden talked about a meat processing plant that is interested in Edgemont if there is any property available. They hope to employ about 25 people.
George Eberle would like everyone to be held to the same standards and he also wanted to let everyone know that the backflow preventor at his home is not working.
Eric Harrold introduced his new Red Tail Hawk to everyone and explained his training.
Approval of Claims: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the October 20, 2020 claims totaling $35,715.02. Motion seconded by Roger Horton. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.
Oct 6-20, 2020 Salaries: Administration 1711.28, Fire Dept 15.43, Streets 2435.08, Cemetery 12.99, Museum 140.62, Park 433.71, Library 953.18, Water 2281.92, Sewer 766.73, Garbage 469.47. Total Salaries: $9,220.41.

Victor Hutto Property: Lyle Edmonds made a motion to have City Attorney send a letter to Victor Hutto giving him 30 days to remove the mobile home on his property or a $10.00 per day fine will be enforced effective from the date of receiving the notice. Motion seconded by Jason Shook. Motion passed with unanimous roll call vote.
Meter Pits: Discussion was held concerning the cost of meter pits and the need for a resolution at the next meeting.
Executive Session Per Sdcl 1-25-2 (2,3 & 4) Personnel, Litigation & Contracts: Lyle Edmonds made a motion to enter into Executive Session at 7:58 p.m. Motion was seconded by Jason Shook. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Return to Regular Meeting at 8:40 p.m.
No action taken.
Adjournment: Jason Shook made a motion to adjourn @ 8:41pm. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
The next regular City Council meeting will be held November 3, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
