TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: The Oelrichs School District 23-3, herein called the Owner, will receive sealed bids for the Oelrichs School, until 2:00 p.m., Local Time on the 6th day of August, 2020, at Upper Deck Architect’s Office, 50 Minnesota Street, Suite 1, Rapid City, SD 57701, South Dakota, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read.
A Single Contract will be awarded for General Construction Work, including Site Work.
All bids shall be made in accordance with forms referenced and/or made a part of the proposed contract documents. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Oelrichs School District 23-3. Bid envelopes shall be clearly marked on the outside lower left corner Oelrichs School. Full responsibility for the delivery of mailed bids prior to the deadline for receiving bids rests with the bidder.
Contract documents, including Bid Proposal, Drawings and Project Manual, have been placed on file and may be examined and obtained at the office of Upper Deck Architects, Inc., 50 Minnesota St., Suite 1, Rapid City, South Dakota 57701.
Construction Documents can be obtained from Upper Deck Architects, Inc., 50 Minnesota St., Suite 1, Rapid City, SD for a DEPOSIT of $200.00 per set, with $200.00 being refunded upon returning such set in good unmarked condition within 14 days after the bid opening. The deposit shall be in the form of a check for $200.00 made payable to the owner. If requesting documents by mail, call Upper Deck for postage amount to be added.
Each bidder must deposit bid security with the bid, payable to Oelrichs School District 23-3, one of the following:
1. Certified check, cashier’s check or draft drawn on a State or National Bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bidders base bid plus add alternates.
2. Bid Bond, prepared on AIA Form A310, issued by a Surety authorized to do business in the State where the project is located and acceptable to the Owner in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bidders base bid plus add alternates.
The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a contract performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond in the penal amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as originally bid or subsequently modified.
No bidder may withdraw a bid until 30 days after the bid opening, without a written request explaining the cause for the withdrawal and without a written consent of the Owner after reviewing the cause.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities of any bid. The Owner also reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as may be determined by the Owner.
