City Of Edgemont Common Council
February 4, 2020
Call To Order – Roll Call: Mayor Jerry Dibble called the regular meeting of the Edgemont Common Council to order at 7:00 p.m. on February 4, 2020, at Edgemont City Hall. Present were Council members, Roger Horton, Kimberly McDade, Carla Schepler, Jason Shook and Robert Worden. John Sturgis was absent.
The Pledge of Allegiance was stated.
Conflict Of Interest For Council Members: No conflicts were heard.
Approval Of Agenda: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the February 4, 2020 agenda. Motion seconded by Robert Worden. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Approval Of Minutes: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the January 21, 2020 minutes. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Law Enforcement – Thomas McMillan

Mayor – Mayor Dibble informed everyone that the motor on the pump for Well #4 quit working and that the City Crew is doing everything they can to keep the water flowing until the pump is replaced. The Engineers and Well Drillers will be meeting next Monday to come up with a solution. The Award of Excellence was given for the Covered Bridge in the park. The pre-application for the BBB grant was approved and is moving forward.

Approval Of Claims: Carla Schepler made a motion to approve the February 4, 2020 claims totaling $55,971.2387. Motion seconded by Robert Worden. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.

Susie Hayes – Partial Tax Abatement: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the partial tax abatement for $216.00 for Robert & Elizabeth Johnson and to have the Mayor sign the application for abatement for Fall River County. Motion was seconded by Kimberly McDade. Motion passed with unanimous roll call vote.
Carla Schepler – Ordinance Discussion: Carla Schepler wanted to discuss proposed Ordinances to the whole Council to receive their input on the topics of chickens, mobile homes and tarps.
Executive Session Per Sdcl 1-25-2 (1,3 & 4) Personnel/Litigation/Contracts: Carla Schepler made a motion to enter into Executive Session at 7:54 p.m. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion passed with unanimous vote.
Returned to Regular Meeting at 8:13 p.m.
Adjournment: Jason Shook made a motion to adjourn at 8:14 p.m. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion carried with unanimous vote.
The next regular City Council meeting will be held February 18, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
