Regular Meeting

November 6, 2018

Call To Order – Roll Call: Mayor Jerry Dibble called the regular meeting of the Edgemont Common Council to order at 7:00 p.m. on November 6, 2018, at Edgemont City Hall. Present were Council members, Roger Horton, Carla Schepler, Jason Shook, John Sturgis and Robert Worden. 

The Pledge of Allegiance was stated.

Conflict Of Interest For Council Members: No conflicts were heard.

Approval Of Agenda: Carla Schepler made a motion to approve the November 6, 2018 agenda. Motion seconded by Jason Shook. Motion passed with unanimous vote. 

Approval Of Minutes: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the October 16, 2018 minutes. Motion was seconded by Carla Schepler. Motion passed with unanimous vote. 

Committee Reports: Law Enforcement – Due to the election duties a Deputy was not present.

Public Works – Joe Koller 

Mayor – Mayor Dibble had nothing to add.

Public Comment: No public comment was heard.

Approval Of Claims: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the November 6, 2018 claims totaling $53176.33. Motion seconded by Robert Worden. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.

New Business: New Billing Computer: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the purchase of a new billing computer from MicroSolutions per quote of $2624.95, with a three year warranty. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.

Trugreen Contract Approval: Jason Shook made a motion to approve the quote from TruGreen for services at the Park in the amount of $1139.17. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.

Garage Doors For Old Reservoir And Building: Jason Shook made a motion to table this item until more quotes are obtained. Motion was seconded by John Sturgis. Motion carried with unanimous vote.

Executive Session Per Sdcl 1-25-2 (1 & 3) Personnel/Litigation/Contracts: Jason Shook made a motion to enter into Executive Session at 7:28 p.m. Motion was seconded by Carla Schepler. Motion carried with unanimous vote.

Return to regular meeting at 8:08 p.m.

No action was taken.

Letters Of Intent: Jason Shook made a motion to approve Kimberly McDade to fill the vacancy for Ward I. Motion was seconded by Robert Worden. Motion carried with unanimous roll call vote.

Oath Of Office – Kimberly McDade: Mayor Dibble administered the oath of office to Kimberly McDade.

Adjournment: Robert Worden made a motion to adjourn at 8:10 p.m. Motion was seconded by Jason Shook. Motion carried with unanimous vote.

The next regular City Council meeting will be held November 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
