JAN 25 - Rural Fire Protection District plans meeting (HOT SPRINGS)
The Hot Springs Rural Fire Protection District is holding its annual meeting on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the SD State Veterans Home in Hot Springs. The meeting will be held in the new residential building at 7:30 p.m. Meet in the lobby. Elections of board members and officers will take place. Resident property owners are encouraged to attend.
JAN 26 - Westerners to meet (HOT SPRINGS)
The Jedidiah Smith Corral of Westerners will meet Friday, Jan. 26 at Pine Hills Retirement Community. Our program will be a first person portrayal of a Civil War Veteran by Tom Inman. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. with the program to follow. For a lunch reservation please call 745-6171.
JAN 27 - Hot Springs Senior Center activities (HOT SPRINGS)
The Hot Springs Senior Center will be serving breakfast on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Everyone is invited.
JAN 27 - Author visits library (HOT SPRINGS)
Local author DM Haines will be at the Hot Springs Public Library showcasing the new release of Hickory Roots on Saturday, Jan. 27 from 12 p.m to 2 p.m. The library is located at 2005 Library Drive. Call 745-3151 for further information. Everyone is invited to attend.
JAN 28 - Church security workshop (HOT SPRINGS)
The United Churches will be sponsoring a church security workshop Sunday, Jan. 28, 1:00 p.m. at the United Churches fellowship hall. The Hot Springs Police Department will be in charge of the training which will last about 2 hours. ALICE training will be featured at this workshop. The community is invited to attend.
JAN 30 - Edgemont Area Historical Society (EDGEMONT)
The Edgemont Area Historical Society will have their annual dinner and meeting on Jan. 30, 6 p.m. at the Senior Center. Speaker will be Railroad Historian, Rick Mills. There will be a meal served for a cost.
Now - JAN 31 - Veterans’ Holiday Relief drive (HOT SPRINGS)
Join the American Legion Auxiliary Post 71 in assisting the Department of South Dakota American Legions Auxiliary in the 6th Annual Veterans’ Holiday Relief Drive through January 31, 2018, providing a comfortable holiday season to local veterans, military members, and their families. Contribute Buddy Baskets, Buddy Bags, or single items of essential household or personal care items. Items may be dropped off at the Legion in Hot Springs. FEB. 10 - Casino Night Fundraiser (HOT SPRINGS)
The Hot Springs Post Prom will host a Casino Night Fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 10 at The Vault. The event features a $20 single buy-in, or $30 for a couple. Prizes for top inning hands. FEB 10 - Hot Springs Area Concert Association announces upcoming concert (HOT SPRINGS)
Hot Club of Cowtown will be preforming on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Mueller Civic Center as part of the Hot Springs Area Concert Association. The concert will start at 7;30 p.m. and will be held at the Mueller Civic Center in Hot Springs.
Now - FEB 16 - 4-H Fruit sales (HOT SPRINGS)
The Fall River County 4-H members are having their annual spring 4-H fruit sale through February 16, 2018. The 4-H fruit sale is a fundraiser to help support Fall River 4-H programs and 4-Her’s. If you are interested in purchasing fruit, contact any 4-H member, 4-H leader or the Fall River County 4-H/Extension Office at 709 Jensen Hwy, Suite B, or call 745-5133. Fruit delivery is scheduled for March 10.
